The Sunshine Coast in general — and Gibsons Town
in particular — is well-served with easily explorable
arts, crafts and clothing boutiques, as well as art
galleries displaying the works of local artists, some
with international reputations. The town centre houses
a number of restaurants, including Greek, Japanese,
Szechuan and European cuisines, with other varieties
of traditional and ethnic specialties within a few minutes’
drive.

Guests of a certain age may remember too, that Gibsons
and the Sunshine Coast provided the location for the
popular TV series The Beachcombers, which ran worldwide
for 19 years in the 1970s and ‘80s.
Compact as the Town of Gibsons is, virtually all
of its amenities are easily accessible and in most
cases, within a few minutes’ walk of Waterfront
Hideaway’s secluded, but convenient location
on The Bluff. |
